Friday, March 9th is National Crab Meat Day, and what better way to celebrate than by eating Box Hill’s world famous crab cakes?! While crab meat is great to eat every day of the year, the American food holiday is the perfect time to have an extra special meal of your favorite shellfish. Box Hill’s crab cakes are the best in Maryland because we only use the best local blue crabs, and always provide our customers with quality crab meat. How To Enjoy Your Crab Cakes

At Box Hill, you can have crab cakes any way you like. In Baltimore, crab cakes often come as burgers, topped with lettuce, tomato, and dressing on a toasted bun. If you want to switch it up, try creating a delicious Crab Cake Sub. You can’t go wrong with a side of fries, but crab cakes also pair great with a side salad, or even on top of a salad. However you choose to enjoy the crab cakes, we guarantee you’ll be satisfied with your meal!

Cooking Frozen Crab Cakes

Since our cakes have been frozen to arrive unspoiled, you must thaw them first. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees and place crab cakes on an ungreased pan with a small amount of butter. Set crab cakes into the oven for 20 minutes or until they’re golden brown on top. Remove from the oven and allow cakes to cool for 5 minutes. Serve however you’d like and enjoy National Crab Meat Day the right way!
